Born Between Languages, Cultures, and Planes Coming and Going
Gillian grew up bilingual, bicultural, and instinctively global. From the earliest age, she remembers arranging the house to receive family from all over the world — aunts and cousins from Trinidad, Barbados, Canada, England, Scotland, Borneo, and Australia. It fascinated her deeply, even when she didn't always understand what they were saying.
She understood early that the world was wider and more extraordinary than the street she lived on. She was drawn to spend her life discovering it.
English at home. Spanish everywhere else. Travel wasn't something they planned — it was simply how life flowed. Suitcases were part of the furniture.
Business, Events & Marketing
Her professional career began when, at fifteen, she was sent to work — and fell deeply in love with it. Working became her university. From a bilingual secretarial school to an architect's firm to a copper company, she learned how systems function and how power moves.
Margarita Island called her next. Hotels, resorts, convention centers. At Laguna Mar — home to the largest convention center in South America — she coordinated the launch of the Fiat Uno for 800 guests and the annual international gathering of Roche Laboratories. These weren't just events. They were living organisms.
Then came PepsiCo and Yum! Brands — Marketing Coordinator for South America, trained at PepsiCo Marketing University in Dallas. Then Chile. Then the opening of the Liqui Moly marketing division across Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Paraguay, and Mexico.
When Her World Came Crashing Down
And then came the long, slow, sacred work of rebuilding. Thirteen years of helping her family migrate from Venezuela to Trinidad while mending a broken heart. Responsibility she couldn't put down. Love she couldn't abandon.
Then came the United States. In Philadelphia, she became a Business and Marketing Consultant and President of a non-profit supporting Latin American entrepreneurs. She lent her expertise to I Am Humanity, Building Bridges with Hope, and Kamp for Kids.
A Lifelong Spiritual Journey
Alongside every boardroom and every continent, there was another Gillian — the one who had been quietly studying spiritual philosophy since she was a teenager. Metaphysics with her teacher Karelly Delgado. Angel courses. Meditation. Walking on Fire retreats in Condor Blanco, Chile. A weekend with the Dalai Lama. James Arthur Ray in Florida, Atlanta, and Hawaii.
Lately: Dr. Joe Dispenza's Week-Long Advanced Retreat in Orlando. The Each One Teach One Retreat in New York. Sacred plant and animal medicine ceremonies, including a session with Bufo Alvarius in Central Park, New York City.
For years, she studied and shared the Hindu traditions under the guidance of her beloved Pundit Hector — a spiritual teacher whose wisdom was formative and whose presence was irreplaceable.
She is certified in Reiki, Reconnective Healing, Spiritual Response Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, and TAMA TAIE — the Pleiadian energy system. With deep study in healing through nutrition, essential oils, and Bach Flower Remedies.
Alchemy Life — The Homecoming
In 2025, all of it came together. Alchemy Life Retreats & Travel was born — a boutique retreat curation and conscious travel consultancy. As an authorized affiliate of Evolution Travel, Gillian brings the same meticulous attention to detail she brought to multinational corporations — now in service of something far more meaningful.
She is, in the truest sense, the product she sells. And that is exactly what makes her unique and rare.
