There are lives that are lived in straight lines — and then there are lives like Gillian's. Born in Venezuela, forged by decades of international business across South America, the Caribbean, and the United States, and shaped by a quiet, persistent call toward something deeper.
She started her career at the front desk of the Hilton Hotel on Margarita Island. She would go on to manage events for Roche Labs and Fiat, build a distribution empire across Trinidad & Tobago, coordinate marketing for Yum! Brands across South America, and eventually become the President of a non-profit supporting Latin American entrepreneurs in Philadelphia.
She has sat at boardroom tables and in jungle ceremonies. She has negotiated contracts in three languages and sat in silence with ancient wisdom. She has organized events for 800 people and led intimate spiritual retreats. And through all of it — the countries, the roles, the reinventions — one thing has remained constant: a deep belief that human beings are capable of far more than they think, and that the right experience at the right moment can unlock everything.
AlchemyLife Retreats & Travel is not a pivot. It is the culmination. Every skill she has ever built — event logistics, international negotiation, cross-cultural communication, spiritual exploration — flows directly into this work. She brings to retreat curation what she brought to every boardroom: thoroughness, creativity, fierce loyalty to her clients, and a refusal to deliver anything less than extraordinary.
Along the way, she has also given back. Gillian has volunteered and provided marketing support to several community foundations — including I Am Humanity, Building Bridges with Hope, and Kamp for Kids — believing that real leadership always includes service.
"This is a new chapter," she says. And it is — but only because every chapter before it was lived so fully.
